Retaining Walls

What is a Retaining Wall?

A retaining wall is any structure built to hold back earth or soil.

Retaining walls are generally built away from a water perimeter and they are built to prevent earth movement due to erosion caused by water runoff, high slopes or even as decorative landscaping features.

Retaining walls can provide lateral support to vertical slopes of soil. They retain soil which would otherwise collapse or erode due to a more natural shape. The retained soil is sometimes referred to as backfill. Retaining walls can be constructed of many different materials and with a variety of building techniques.

Wells Foundation Specialist can build retaining walls or we can fix retaining walls that have become damaged over time.
